India starts work on green steel policy
The Steel Ministry has begun work towards formulating a comprehensive green steel policy that include defining the processes of making such offerings, the skill-set required, funding support availablity, among others, sources tell businessline.COIMBATORE, 25/04/2007: A worker takes a sample of the finished product at the steel rolling plant at Southern Iron and Steel Company Limited, a Jindal South West (JSW) Group Company at Pottaneri, about 35 Kilometres from Salem. The Company is augmenting its capacity from 0.3 million tonnes to 1 million tonne at a cost of about 1300 crores.
