A Beam Joist is a line structural that carries load primarily in bending. Beam Joist provide economical floor and roof systems in applications requiring long clear spans and lighter weight systems. The horizontal elements of the I are flanges, and the vertical element is the "web". I-beams are usually made of structural steel and are used in construction and civil engineering.
